without noticing til days has passed by, it's already been a year for us as residents of quintessential tok muda .. and what a rollercoaster ride it has been, more ups than down ..
having to start on our own just myself and my lil family has made me a really big girl cos its up to me to manage the household now. if i dont do the chores, nobody else is going to do it but thank God i have the wonderful hubs of mine who doesnt mind giving a hand in making our house a home .. i must say i enjoy taking care of this lil abode of mine .. the cooking, washing, cleaning, folding, hanging, mopping and loads more .. well maybe not the mopping .. and definitely not the sweeping. i've became miss independent .. hurray! And i am so in love with my lil cutesy kitchen that for the first time, i enjoy cooking! Am truly becoming the domestic diva in the making ..
among the dishes i successfully conjured
when i first got posted to jeramville, i knew that we had to move near school cos it was not an option for me to commute that far. I felt sent to a rural area and this was selangor!Despite how I loved shah alam so much, we went house hunting half heartedly and i got so frustrated with what was offered. Luckily both me and hubs were fussy or else we would have settled for less. it took us months to finally locate a brand new single storey house in this quaint malay village in kapar. we needed a house desperately cos ain's wedding was coming up and the bridal room was where i stored all my stuff while we lived in shah alam. we found this lil gem hidden from the main road but despite my ambivalence, i loved the house very much. somehow i knew, this is the place where my kids will grow up and i will nurture my family.
its small size is just what i needed having grown up in a big house, made me adamant to find a house without stairs to climb. We have a playground just in front of the house and nosy and noisy neighbours live quite far from us so we face little problems here. So far, i have no trouble to go anywhere i want cos there's NKVE 15 minutes away. I still go back to kajang as usual and shah alam's a stone throw away. my social life has not withered at all. despite not having a decent mamak stall nearby, we're doing ok. Its so peaceful and far from all the hustle and bustle. Blue skies are visible just outside. I dont mind laidback weekends just staying home pouring my whole attention to the boys and cooking wholesome meals for darling hubs.
so i am thankful for this blessing in disguise where i can find happiness in a place tucked away from the city.I'm glad we found this place. I'm starting to love tok muda to bits and it'll take awhile before i hand in my application for a new posting in selangor. a long while ..
