mama's day

Because of the economy downturn, i chose not to have a lavish celebration for mother's day. i do not need a typical lunch or dinner that is so overrated on days such as these .. we eat out much too often .. so i asked hubster if it was possible to go and have a picnic somewhere cool .. the idea came about during a boring extensive meeting in a much too stuffy room. I just wanted to go dipping in cold water. Hubs said it was my day to do as i please so it was either sg congkak or gabai. Sent msgs to the whole clan and the replies got me busy thru out the rest of the meeting. I became madame organizer and set off planning the day.

Gabai it was and a great day too despite the crowd cos obviously it was a popular choice due to the heat. Everybody wanted to escape from melting away. Its not costly at all to spend the day here. We had a great spot cos mak and ayah left early to secure one. I enjoyed the good company, great food and the marvelous cool stream. There was nasi lemak cooked and bought, sandwiches, crisps, grape juice and tea, hot dogs and yogurt! everything was sumptuous. Enjoyed it to the max cos I was with my family and it mattered more than being at a hotel lunching with obnoxious strangers. All of us went swimming or at least dipping and my kids enjoyed the water most.Hubs loved the water slides. we all went home sated, with a tan and memories of a wholesome family get-together. 

i had the best mama's day ever! 

to Muhammad Hazim and Muhammad Hariz .. i hope i'll be the best mama too .. u boys make my life complete.
