tell me that i'm special even when i know i'm not

I no longer spend the entire day scouring the thing named FB.
a twitter once said, its full of negativity.
its so true!
the hype has died on me.
a few days off it actually made me emotionally better and more positive.
i can finish all the work i have too.

why?
1. its starting to be a place to brag instead of keeping in contact. (ie: i scratched my beemer - just say car will ya?)

2. its true that some ppl just hafta update about everything they do. (ie: sakit perot!, tak sedap badan, tgh makan kuih)

3. purposely tagging hideous pics of the old days. (let ppl tag themselves)

4. then there're those ambiguous statuses - making you think if they're referring to you.

5. and all those heart/love/hugs/neighbours in farms/poke request .. urgh!

they're all starting to get on my nerves. boring!
maybe i'm temperamental nowadays, maybe just starting to be curmudgeonly. i'm seriously happy that all of ya are successful in your careers and can afford stuff but pride is a sin ain't it?
i dunno.where's the intelligence? the wit? the serious stuff?
You are the company you keep .. so am i actually like that?

i kinda expected that FB will cease to intrigue sooner or later just like friendst*r. eventually i will hate the company cos i'm such an introvert. I actually like to keep to myself. People just annoy me so much sometimes. I feel like deleting all those people who are merely acquaintances and keep ppl who matter. Thats why i have no friends and have read lotsa books. Its a wonder how come I'm a teacher.
anyway do keep it coming in FB. i'm still there but just a bystander judging you instead!
but i must say twitter is whole lotta more fun! finally i get to ramble and rant and nobody's there to judge me.

another twitter quote i recall: our culture makes us buy stuff we don't need with money we don't have for people we don't like.
I don't wanna end up like that.
