so what if it was called off as own goal, Malaysian team showed stamina and high spirits. the ball was already on its course towards the goal anyway. They deserved the gold so.
what a way to usher in 1431. with an early success after 20 years of wait.
this time we came together to support our team despite race, religion, political sides and what not. it was not selangor VS ktan or arsenal VS chelsea. it was Malaysia vs another country.
so why was it that nobody wanted to stand and sing along Negaraku proudly at the cafe but thi lonely teacher and his boys. I thought we were Malaysian enough?
i'm still sad when those EPL junkies still had something bad to say about the game played by our boys. Oh just shut up and savour the gold! WE WON didnt we?
